Job Description:

Position Summary: ENGEO is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Assistant to assist with Geologic Hazard Abatement District (GHAD) administrative duties. As a Project Assistant, you will play a dynamic role in working closely with our high performing team!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Electronically maintain files, documents, records, and all other work products, in an established filing system - accessible anytime upon request by other GHAD Staff, Maintenance Staff, and public
  • Maintain an accounting and bookkeeping system, which includes payment processing, invoice preparation and quarterly expense report preparation
  • Coordinate with the County Tax Assessor, and provide customer service to property owners with questions about their assessment
  • Prepare a Maintenance and Operations Plan (Maintenance Plan), maintain an Annual Work Program (AWP) and Monthly Incident Log (MIL), and develop and maintain Communications Plans including emergency response protocol, incident response protocol, and a community education plan
  • Assist in preparation of reports, power point presentations, agendas, meeting minutes, flyers, and mailings
  • Maintain GHAD website for upcoming meetings and important dates
  • Perform additional duties as requested


Experience and Skills:

Minimum Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem solving, client service skills and ability to adjust to a changing job environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Administrative and/or accounting experience including large projects or program document control management
  • Knowledge of earthwork and construction
