Job Description:

ENGEO is always pro-actively looking for Experienced and Entry Level Construction Field Representatives & Special Inspector candidates.

REQUIRED: Use of a personal Field/Construction truck/SUV is required for this position (daily allowance is provided) 

Construction Material Field Technicians needed in our Candlestick/Hunters Point San Francisco location to provide field observation, testing, sampling and reporting/review of including, but not limited to soils (geotechnical), aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel placement. Previous experience and certifications are desirable (see qualifications below).
Requirements

 Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

  • Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Reliable field truck/vehicle suitable for use on construction sites. - daily reimbursement provided
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.)
  • Not afraid of hard work or labor - willing to go above and beyond to serve the team and the client

 

Experience and Skills:

REQUIRED: Use of a personal Field/Construction truck/SUV is required for this position (daily allowance is provided) 

Field Technician: 1 year (ACI, certs a plus)

Basic math skills 

Required education:

 High school or equivalent

Ability to thrive 100% in a construction environment. Must be a proactive, problem solver, with a proven track record of dependability, keen attention to detail, and well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, city agents, project managers (locally and in other regional offices) and internal support staff. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and diverse environment; have the ability to work and succeed as a team also while being resourceful when working alone on the construction site: and enjoy learning and sharing knowledge with others for the success of the company. Must have a good understanding of the construction industry. Basic plan reading skills and ability to classify soils are key. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer based applications.

Candidate Criteria: Candidates must be drug free, have a clean driving record, show proof of insurance for their vehicle (upon hire), be able to physically lift and transport 50 lbs on a consistent basis, and have a reliable truck or construction site appropriate SUV. Candidates must have excellent english communication/writing skills, posses business/relationship development skills and the desire and strong commitment to serving clients and peers. All candidates must thrive in a high-performing, multi-disciplinary atmosphere and be committed to excellence.
