Job Description:

The Marketing Coordinator works as part of the marketing team. You will work collaboratively with the Marketing Managers, Business Development Director, office leaders and senior technical professionals to assist in accomplishing ENGEO’s marketing initiatives. You should have a comprehensive mastery of the English language, both spoken and written. You will be creating and developing proposals and qualifications in response to Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ), and presentations, among other duties as listed below.   

We are seeking a candidate who can develop strong content and messaging to differentiate ENGEO’s proposals from those of our competitors; someone who is comfortable working in Microsoft Suite (InDesign is a plus); has an outstanding grasp of written communication (vocabulary, usage, structure, flow, grammar, punctuation); and has a strong ability to organize proposal content and create storyboards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the engineering (geotechnical, environmental, water resources, construction) industry, a talent for storytelling, and excellent organization skills.

Comprehensive training will be provided in order to assist the selected candidate with becoming proficient at the following responsibilities.


  • Reviews RFP/RFQ documents so that client requirements are clearly understood
  • Clearly communicates with technical staff regarding RFP/RFQ details, schedules, and action items
  • Attends pre-proposal meetings
  • Participates in Go/No Go decisions and winning strategies
  • Leads the proposal kick-off and review team meetings
  • Prepares, assembles, and produces proposals and qualification packages including designing, writing, and editing
  • Coordinates with in-house staff and outside consultants
  • Interacts with all levels of technical and support staff
  • Works with project teams in preparation for interviews
  • Assists with gathering, formatting and maintaining accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information including team resumes, project descriptions and statistics, and other information for marketing purposes
  • Prepares company Capability Statements and other marketing pieces
  • Edits and maintains the Text Library
  • Maintains proposal log
  • Maintains and updates CRM database (Deltek Vision)
  • Conducts market research
  • Contributes to monthly update reports sent to the Executive Committee of ENGEO
  • Prepares presentations for shortlist interviews and Lunch & Learn events
  • Coordinates client events and Lunch & Learn events
  • Performs web site updates / content refresh

Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Journalism or similar
  • Very strong written communication and editing / storytelling skills
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Organized multi-tasker who is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, handle quick turnarounds and deliver on short notice
  • Team player with an upbeat attitude and collaborative, responsive spirit
  • Excellent graphic design skills (layout of art and copy) desired, but not required
  • Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Adobe Creative Suite (a plus, but not required)
